Organist at Traditional Service and Pianist for Church Choir
Email: Angy Bounds
Ten years ago, my sweet mother-in-law, Pat Bounds, called me with the news that “her church” was in need of an organist. As I was a lifelong musician and a recent “stay-at-home” mom with a precious 6-month old baby boy, I was open to the idea of an “out of house” experience-especially one that involved music! Now, ten years later, my mother-in-law’s church is now my church too, and I am happily still playing the organ weekly and accompanying both the adult and children’s choir. When I’m not at church playing music, I’m teaching elementary music at Summit Christian Academy in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Joining the staff in the winter of 2016, Gino jumped right into the thick of things leading worship in both Traditional and Contemporary services. Having been involved with music his whole life and growing into a strong spiritual life, combining the two was a natural move for him. With his wife, Ashley, by his side and his son, Gino, in the nursery, he is excited to be a part of growing the Kingdom in Independence.
