Welcome to Starshine Preschool, where little minds grow and learn of God’s love!

 

For over 35 years, Starshine Preschool has been serving families on the Independence Square inside Independence First United Methodist Church.  It has prided itself in showing God’s Love through a caring and nurturing staff, a Christian Based Preschool Curriculum and an incredible Music program.  From age 2 through Pre-Kindergarten, your child is guided through our program by a combination of monthly themes, daily lessons, music class, Bible stories, and art to achieve complete “kindergarten readiness”.  Our teachers love helping little mind’s learn of God’s big love for them and helping them to become more independent as they grow.

 

Starshine preschool prides itself in being able to provide each age group it’s own classroom. We offer an indoor playroom for those rainy cold days as well as an outside play equipment to enjoy as often as possible. Your child will experience the transition of switching classrooms every day to  enjoy Music class with our Music teacher and Art in our own Art room. Field trips are also part of our yearly calendar. 

 

We are a secure facility that puts our students’ safety as top priority.  All outside doors are locked at all times.  Fire, tornado, and safety drills are practiced regularly. We are also inspected by the State Fire Marshal, the Independence Health Department and State of Missouri.
